On the occasion of the World Environment Day, last Friday the 5th of June, the United Nations launched the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030).
This programme not only aims at protecting our still intact ecosystems, but also at regenerating those that have been destroyed or damaged.
The goals? Restore one billion hectares of degraded land.
At stake? To slow down biodiversity losses and climate change impacts, but also to ensure our worldwide food security.
A call to action on a global scale that concerns companies through their materials sourcing strategies… as well as each of us in our daily choices.
