More transparency for cosmetic ingredients

The traceability and transparency of raw materials used by brands in the manufacture of their products are of increasing interest to consumers.

The cosmetics industry in particular has just launched a Europe-wide initiative to inform (and no doubt reassure) the general public about the origin, properties, functions or use of 30,000 ingredients.

Although the platform does not detail the manufacturing conditions (and possible associated impacts) of these raw materials, it is nevertheless a practical and easily accessible tool for consumers seeking information and transparency.
