Jewellery industry of tomorrow: consumer-driven transparency and traceability?

A new report published two weeks ago by The Business of Fashion and McKinsey unpacks the major trends that will shape the watch and jewellery sector in 2025.

A very market-oriented analysis, which looks back at the impact of the pandemic and details the characteristics of the expected rebound.

Beyond the lessons and recommendations that emerge, we note in particular the breakthrough of the second-hand market, but also and above all the increased importance of durability in consumer purchasing decisions (between 20% and 30% of transactions).

According to the study, this will be a major incentive for companies to be more transparent and traceable in their supply chains.

Will it? We hope so.
