Climate: the thorny question of investments

A few days after the end of the COP 26, this article (re)confirms, through the Nutella’s case study, some of the fundamentals that were discussed several times during the event.

First of all, as we underlined last week in another post, the need for companies to take action in their upstream supply chains, beyond their own operations, where their impacts are the most significant.

But also, the thorny question of the investments needed to achieve these commitments. Even if the responsibility does not lie solely with companies, they are (still) not contributing enough.

In terms of climate, and whatever the sector, responsible sourcing and control of supply chains are essential to secure purchases and ensure the long-term future of businesses!
